Jeypore, Apr 12: Today the Koraput SP Charan Singh Meena informed media that firing took place between the Koraput district police and Maoists in Leleri forest situated at the borders of Rayagada in which a Maoist was killed in the morning. Some items used by the rebels have been seized from the encounter spot. The District cops have also raided the firing spot in the Leleri forest based on a tip-off on movement of Maoists in the area.
