New Delhi, Aug 3: The Festival of India will be held from August to November 2016 in seven cities across Australia. It will present some of the finest elements of India’s classical and contemporary culture through a variety of dance, music, theatre, visual arts and textiles.
The Festival is being organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture with the support of ICCR and India Tourism. It has also received local support. The Festival is coordinated by the High Commission of India in Australia.
This information was given by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State (I/C) for Culture and Tourism in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.
