Rourkela, Jan 18: In a major breakthrough, Plant site police on Sunday arrested five persons in connection with the murder of Mohammad Jahid Ansari aka Golden here last Tuesday.
Car and bike-borne miscreants had attacked Golden at Nala square killing him on the spot.The murder of Golden had sparked off tension in the steel city as locals staged a road blocked on Wednesday demanding the arrest of the murderers. The locals burnt tyres on the road to block traffic.
Though the exact reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, past enmity is suspected as the main reason behind the crime.
