Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: According to the MeT, Odisha, moderate to dense fog prevailed over some parts of Odisha. Weather has been dry over Odisha. Minimum temperatures observed no large change over Odisha. They were normal over Interior Odisha and above normal over coastal Odisha. Having partly cloudy atmosphere Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience rain and thundershowers in the next 24 hours having a maximum and minimum temperature of 28 degree Celsius and 17 degree Celsius respectively on Tuesday. Fog liley to occur in the morning like today, as a thick blanket of fog shrouded the entire capital thus affecting vehicular traffic in the morning.
The relative humidity will be 94 percent at its maximum and 54 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT. Today, cold conditions continued to prevail in various parts of the state including the western and interior Odisha, dense fog gave the road commuters in the Capital a tough time this morning. Visibility was recorded at 20 meters. People were seen driving their vehicles slowly and turning their headlights on. This is said to be the thickest fog of the season so far. On Tuesday and Wednesday, rainfall likely to occur in parts of North Odisha and weather would be dry in South Odisha. Moderate fog will also prevail in parts of the state. On Thursday, rainfall will occur in Coastal Odisha adjoining Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Jajpur and all other parts of Odisha will be having dry weather. All the other days, Odisha would be experiencing a dry weather. As per the weather forecasters, there is no significant change as of now.
For the farmers, light rains or thundershowers would likely to occur in districts of North Odisha and weather is likely to be sunny in districts of South Odisha. Moderate fog is also likely to prevail in some of parts of Odisha. The highest maximum temperature of 320C was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 9.00C was recorded at Sundergarh in the plains of Odisha.
