Bhubaneswar: August 12: Odisha reported more fresh cases than recoveries in last 24 hours. 1107 fresh cases were found in last 24 hours whereas 869 patients have recovered from the disease.
Active cases number went up to 10,853 today which was 10,682 yesterday.
In total, 64,802 samples have been tested in last 24 hours and out of that, 1107 cases were found Positive. The daily positivity rate also grew to 1.7 percent.
Also, the most-affected district Khurda reported 372 cases yesterday and today, it has recorded 397 new cases.
Total recoveries since the beginning of the Pandemic reached 9,73,579. This is out of 9,91,182 Covid Positive cases detected so far in Odisha.
Out of 1107 new cases detected in last 24 hours,646 people were in quarantine and rest 461 are local contact cases.

Kalahandi 7, Kandhamal 7, Kendrapada 42, Keonjhar 18, Khurda 397, Koraput 1, Malkangiri 10, Mayurbhanj 40, Nawarangpur 1, Nayagarh 29, Nuapada 1, Puri 28, Rayagada 5, Sambalpur 20, Sonepur 4, Sundargarh 17 and 82 cases found from State Pool.
