Cuttack, July 19: As per the order issued by High Court, a fresh Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) for B-Tech, and Fresh entrance test for lateral entry into MBA and MCA courses would be conducted in the State. Binod Dash, Secretary of Odisha Private Engineering College Association (OPECA) informed this on Tuesday as they had demanded of the same.
Notably, OPECA, citing about the Violation of the Odisha Professional Education Act and protesting against the National JEE had moved to the High Court demanding a separate JEE for B Tech admission as national level entrance test has failed to attract and generate interest among students to join engineering institutes in the State.
Thus, the State Government would conduct a special JEE for admission in to B-Tech courses, and second OJEE for lateral entry in to MBA, MCA and for other courses for which the entrance tests have already been done, sources informed.
Students can apply for the special OJEE from July 21, official informed. Fresh JEEs are conducted by the State government from the past three years within the state.
