Cuttack, July 27: Last night, four miscreants allegedly gang raped a woman after looting valuables from her house at Jhinkiria village under Sadar police limits.
A complaint was filed with the police in the morning by the victim following to which a team rushed to the spot and started investigation. The victim is a resident of Begunia in Khurdha district residing in a rented house in the Jhinkiria village with her husband and two children. Her spouse was away that night to Cuttack to attend his relative admitted to SCB medical. Taking advantage of his absence, the criminals committed the crime; her husband said thus demanding for stringent punishment for the culprits.
He further added that due to absence of strict law and order in the area where he resides, a number of criminal and anti-social activities are taking place. On narrating the entire happening before the media the victim said that the culprits first terrorized her and her kids with knife pointing towards them thus threatening to kill all of them. Later, they snatched the valuables. At last she made an earnest request through media to take up the issue seriously.
