Kendrapara, Apr 18: In a brutal yet shameful incident, a girl from Lokapada village in Kendrapada was stripped and beaten by a youth on the the village road.
Notably, earlier yesterday, the accused, Identified as Saroj Das, dragged the victim out of her home in Kendrapada, and thrashed her along with her mother. When the girl tried to stop him from doing so, the accused stripped her in public and humiliating her. Das also used, abusive language and misbehaved with her, said sources.
After getting informed, the Aul police reached the spot and arrested the accused. The police have started the investigation, but the reason for the incident is yet unknown, said sources.
