Godown in Capital City sealed for hoarding pulses

BHUBANESWAR, OCT 23: Acting on a tip off from market intelligence wing, the State Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare department officials today raided and sealed a godown at Manchewswar in the Capital city for allegedly hoarding pulses beyond permissible limits.
Though the godown has been raided, the stck therein has not been seized yet. This may be done after verifying stock, said Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Dasburma.
“We have sealed the godown. Appropriate action will be taken against the trader after verifying the quantity of stocked pulses,” Ravi Narayan Barik, ADM, Khurda said.
However the trader denied any illegality in stocks.
