Government identifies 3 districts of Odisha as Red Zones and six districts as Orange Zones

Odisha reports 170 Covid-19 New Cases; No cases in10 Districts

Bhubaneswar: May 01: In order to strengthen government’s efforts to contain the novel coronavirus, the country’s districts will now be classified into three categories i.e.Red Zones, Orange Zones and Green Zones.

Government has identified 130 Districts of India as Red Zones while 284 Districts have been marked Orange Zones and 319 are Green Zones.

As per the list published by Union Health Ministry, Odisha’s Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur have been marked as Red Zones. In Orange Zone category, there are six districts of Odisha. They are Khurda, Sundargarh, Kendrapara, Koraput, Dhenkanal and Kalahandi.

The districts which are under Green Zone Category are Cuttack, Puri, Angul, Balangir, Bargarh, Boudh, Deogarh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Rayagada, Sambalpur and Sonepur.
