Bhubaneswar, Sept 12: On September, 9th, 2016 Odisha’s capital city witnessed the Annual Conference of Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopists BAGE-2016, where the Governor of Odisha advised Doctors for enhancement of quality medical service. Medical Science has given us many major achievements where new medication and new techniques evolved are delivering best results and endoscopic surgery is one of them. This has become possible because of good work done by our specialists who engage themselves in research work to find something new. Endoscopic surgery has numerous advantages like shorter hospital stays resulting reduced hospital cost, less pain, faster recovery, minimum scar, early return to work and most importantly less probability of post-operative infections and complications, said Governor Dr. S. C. Jamir at the Conference.
Governor Dr. Jamir further added that there is a need for proper coordination through advocacy, strengthening of health delivery system, conducting of adequate research for better practices and enhancement of the quality of services to avert morbidity and mortality. He called upon specialists to critically appraise the bottlenecks, fast-track interventions and innovations to save more lives. Congratulating members of the Association, Governor urged upon them to impart proper training to the young gynecologists to make this minimal access advanced surgery popular which will be beneficial to all.
