New Delhi, March 19: The government is committed to bring in reforms to transform the nation and benefit every section, including those who have objections with ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai,’ Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu today said.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is keen to transform India. That is why I say reform, perform and transform. Modi wants to transform nation (with reforms). Nation means all Indians, including those who have problems with ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ also,” he said on the sidelines of 43rd SKOCH Summit here.
Noting that “reform is the need of the hour,” he said the “government is committed to reforms,” Listing out its benefits, he said it “helps poor people, enhance delivery system, improves economic growth, help in parking subsidies in better manner as well as take care of the vulnerable sections of the society.”
Earlier, Naidu was conferred with Skoch Challenger Lifetime Achievement Award.
The BJP leader had yesterday slammed AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and party’s MLA in Maharashtra Waris Pathan for their objection to chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.
“I don’t understand why people have objections to raising ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’. It has no religious connotation. It’s not related to any religion. I don’t understand what’s wrong in this,” he had said.
