Bhubaneswar, Dec 30: Odisha Government has decided to open more centers of its popular ‘Rs 5 meal’ named ‘Aahar’ scheme in 50 towns of the state by February 2016.
This has been decided today at the State Secretariat during a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Notably, the ‘Aahar’ meal scheme has been catering across 21 centers in five cities of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Berhampur and Rourkela.
Naveen also reviewed the progress in paddy procurement in the meeting and also asked the District Collectors to take precaution against distress sale of paddy and ensure that payments are made to the farmers on time.
