Govt to pay more importance on the development of agriculture and farmers

Pipili, Apr 29 : To rejoice the celebration of Krushak Divas, today at Laxminarayanpur, CM Naveen Patnaik delivered his speech in a meeting, attended by the farmers, in which he said that the income of the farmers has been increased by two times during the last 10 years and the state government is still trying it’s best to increase it further in future years.

Through the speech Patnaik expressed that it is the priority of the government to think about the development of agriculture and farmer. Regarding the same, the government has set up corpus funds of Rs.100 each for seeds and fertilizers, while new agricultural policies, special budget system and crop loan at one per cent interest rate are also provided by the government.

Addressing the gathering, Naveen said,  as the IMD has predicted of sufficient rains to occur this year, we hope that it will lead to a good year for us with a  good yield.
