Bhubaneswar: In a welcoming step for the police personnel, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi informed that Habildar, constable and sepoy will receive one month’s salary in advance and too according to the increased wage rate, while attending the Habildar, constable and sepoy programme.
Additionally, the cycle allowances for the Habildars and constables have been increased to Rs 1000 against Rs 300. Similarly, for the uniform, shoes they will receive Rs 10,000 against Rs 5,000 earlier.
Besides this, all the police stations will be provided with motorcycles. For this Rs 35 crore have been allocated in the State Budget. For the CAPF Rs 299 crores have been sanctioned. Additionally, for quicker transportation of Police, Rs 16 crore have been sanctioned. For this 649 dedicated vehicles will be supplied to Police, said CM Majhi.
“In the progress of the State, police force play an important role and the Constables and sepoys play a pivotal role in it. At the grass roots level, starting from maintaining law and order situation to informing the Intelligence Bureau (IB) they play important roles. They are the back bone of the Police department,” he said while attending the programme that. The police personnel have expressed happiness for getting one months salary in advance.
DGP Yogesh Bahadur Khurania attended the programme and said,” Police force can never have its strength without the constable and sepoys. Despite, being in adverse situations, it is our prime duty to be available for the citizens.” He urged the Police personnel to adhere to ‘Seva’ (service) and ‘Suraksha’ (safety) and work for the citizens.
