Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: In connection with the defamation suit filed by Bhubaneswar Municipality Corporation (BMC) Mayor, Anant Narayan Jena, the hearing on show-cause notices served began yesterday at the Bhubaneswar Civil Judge Senior Division Court. President of the students’ wing of Congress party, Itish Pradhan and owner of Niakhunta.com, Pradeep Pandi appeared before the court. All these three who responded to the show-cause notices served to them, demanded a speedy hearing of the case. However, four other parties named in the suit have requested time to appear before the court. In the meantime, the political tumult that demanded the resignation of Mayor is still in force with the BJP’s ‘Janta Darbar.’ As a part of its Janta Darbar campaign yesterday, the saffron party alleged Mayor’s involvement in a viral sex clip and links with Rishi’s murder through songs.

On the other hand, yesterday the Mahila Congress registered a complaint at Capital PS here, against the girl and Snigdha Sahoo, who accompanied her to the Odisha Human Rights Commission. They alleged that Snigdha Sahoo called herself as a Congress member and filed a complaint against Itish Pradhan. This was informed by the Congress block president, Ashok Das to the media.

On the other hand, yesterday another friend of the deceased Rishi was interrogated by the investigating officer in connection to the Rishi murder case.
