Heavy rainfall in North Odisha in the coming weekend

Bhubaneswar, Aug 30: Southwest monsoon has been subdued over Odisha. Rainfall has occurred at one or two places over Odisha with heavy rainfall at one or two places over North Coastal Odisha.

Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience in the next 24 hours rainfall along with thundershowers thus having a maximum and minimum temperature of 34 degree Celsius and 26 degree Celsius respectively on Wednesday having a cloudy atmosphere all around.

The relative humidity will be 92 percent at its maximum and 71 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT Sub-Division.

On Thursday, Southern areas of the state will witness rainfall heavily with a few in the north. On Friday, interior parts of the state will witness maximum showers. On Saturday and Sunday heavy rainfall will be at North of Odisha.  On the basis of weather report submitted by the MeT officials, there is likely to be an increase in rainfall.

The highest maximum temperature of 36.1oC was recorded at Hirakud and the lowest minimum temperature of 22.0oC was recorded at Sundergarh in the plains of Odisha.
