Hectic preparation for PM’s ensuing visit to Port City

Paradip, Feb 4: Officials of Paradip Refinery project, Jagatsinghpur district administration and Paradip Port Trust were gearing up to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 7 who will visit here to dedicate the refinery plant of the Indian Oil Corporation to the nation here.  

Political parties – both BJP and BJD – were also finalizing their preparations to bring as many persons as possible to the event to make it a grand success.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Petroleum & Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will also be present on the occasion.

Jagatsinghpur BJD president Bishnu Das announced on Tuesday that his party workers and leaders will welcome both the Prime Minister and Chief Minister in large number to make the programme a grand success.

Local Labour Union leader Santosh Pattnaik claimed that his Union will mobilize nearly 15,000 workers to the venue to make it a success.

The IOCL authorities were finalizing the preparations for the event coined ‘Urja Utsav’.

Chief Secretary AP Padhi and DGP KB Singh have held several rounds of meeting in Bhubaneswar to review the preparations.
