Puri, Mar 11: On Friday the Puri Jagannath temple administration informed to conduct a number of reformative developments including to build a heritage park at the Jagannath Ballav Math. The heritage park will contain plantations of various flowering plants and timber which are generally used for daily rituals of Lord Jagannath. This was decided in a meeting chaired by Puri Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb. Temple administrator, Suresh Mohaptra informed this to the media. He stated that various developmental projects will be carried out on the 42 acre land of the math that is known as the Pleasure Garden of the Lord along with this a park will be constructed inside the premises of the math. Additinally, he also said that topics such as detail design and concept of the park was discussed at the meeting and for this a committee has been set up. He also further informed that the math will also have a multi-storeyed parking lot for vehicle parking. The pond present inside the math will also be renovated. The museum present inside the Sri Mandir premises will be completely reconstructed with new designs and concept. The interiors of Gundicha Temple will be deisgned in a whole new way by panelling pattachitras of legendary tales and mythology of Lord Jagannath. Similarly beautification of Atharnala and Musha stream will also be carried out. A total of 30 to 40 crores is likely to be allocated for the projects.
