Bhubaneswar, Oct 1: The DGP KB Singh on Friday informed that following the surgical strike by Indian Armed Forces across the Line of Control (LoC), a high alert has been sounded across Odisha after discussions between Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Quick Reaction Team (QAT) and Special Tactical Unit (STU) units have been engaged to keep a strict vigil on Biju Patnaik International Airport, railway stations, bus stands, Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur, Hirakud and other dams and Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, Singh added.
He further said that security has been beefed up at major entry points and checking of vehicles has begun.
