Bhubaneswar, Jan 14: Hirakud IIC Savitri Bal suspended for torturing a minor boy in police station.
Notably, a video was aired on a local TV channel on Wednesday where Hirakud IIC along with two constables had tortured a minor in the Police station.
Odisha DGP K.B. Singh on Thursday suspended Hirakud IIC Savitri Bal.
Singh took the action after receiving a probe report from the Burla SDPO over the custodial torture incident.
Earlier on the Morning, the Sambalpur SP had suspended two constables Ambuj Sahu and Jeet Narayan Podha and a home guard was dismissed from service.
