'Hit And Run' Case On Bhubaneswar Footpath: Labourer Killed

Bhubaneswar: September 30: Late on Friday night, a speeding car ran over a labourer who was sleeping on the footpath at Rajmahal Chhak in Bhubaneswar. The victim died instantly.

According to eyewitnesses, the car dragged the deceased labourer for a distance before killing him. The deceased labourer’s identity is yet to be known.

Even though other labourers were also resting on the sidewalk, they narrowly escaped and remained unhurt. Following the incident, a group of people pursued the vehicle, whose driver fled towards the Daya River embankment.

Upon receiving information, Dhauli Police arrived on the scene and recovered the vehicle. The identity of the car’s driver remains unknown.
