Bhubaneswar, Sept 23: M.Phil students of the Utkal University gheraod the Vice Chancellor’s office today to protest against the recent increase in the hostel fee.
As per sources, even though the students had earlier requested the university authorities thrice to roll back the increased fees, no heed was paid towards the request.
The hostel fee for each student was increased to Rs 9,800 recently from earlier fee of Rs. 6500.
However, after the protest by students today, the fee was cut down to Rs. 7650.
