Bhubaneswar, Mar 22: Today Congress legislators at the Odisha Assembly created a ruckus thus demanding consensus to increase minimum support price (MSP) for paddy to Rs 2,800. The BJP leaders also supported the say. Due to this tussle in the house which were hindering the house proceedings, Speaker Niranjan Pujari adjourned the house till 12.30 pm.
It so happened that as soon as the House assembled for the day, the Congress leaders barged into the well of the State Assembly and shouted slogans demanding hike in MSP of paddy. Congress chief whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati was stopped by the Assembly staff while attempting to climb atop the Speaker’s table. Due to this fiasco made by the Congress, Minister Usha Devi’s statements during the Question Hour was not audible clearly.
