Bhubaneswar, Sept 5: Dhananjay Bisoi, husband of Sunita Dalei, was arrested by the police on Sunday following a complaint lodged by the Sunita’s brother Ganesh Dalei who alleged Dhananjay of murdering his sister for dowry. Reportedly, Sunita Dalei was found hanging in her home on Thursday in Mali Colony under Kharvela Nagar police limits in Bhubaneswar.
In his complaint, Ganesh alleged that his sister and brother-in-law used to regularly quarrel over dowry and also that Dhananjay used to beat Sunita often for dowry.
After registering a murder case on the basis of the complaint, police arrested Dhananjay and forwarded him to court.
Further investigation in the case is being carried out by the police.
