Chennai: June 24: A 35-year-old man brutally assassinated his wife and his three daughters on June 20 and kept the dead bodies for two days with him, before police found about it.
Chinnaraj, a native of Bargur in Krishnagiri district was caught by police when he came to take his bike parked on the service road off the Marina. On June 20, he killed his wife and three daughters with an iron rod. He then slept inside the house. On Thursday, the house owner Raja Bahadur, 78, informed the police about the foul odor from the house. The police recovered the bodies and sent them for postmortem.
Notably, Chinnaraj lived in a rented house in Muthu Street behind the Royapeth Police Station. He married Padiammal in 2012, but she refused to stay with him as their house was too small around 200sq feet for five people to live in, since a month. Padiammal used to live with her three daughters and was into the business of selling idlis after her first husband deserted her.
