Cuttack: Ahead of Holi festival Commissionerate Police have got a big success. An illegal gun factory have been busted by Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch in Cuttack district of Odisha on Thursday. As many as four persons have been arrested in this connection while more than 30 guns have been seized from the illegal arms manufacturing unit located in Dhuleshwar village under Bayalish Mouza Police Station limits in Cuttack district.
The main accused has been identified as Saroj Chandra Yadav. The said illegal gun factory was running at his house. The other accused persons’ identity is yet to be ascertained while it has been known that one of them is from West Bengal while the other 2 are from Bihar.
As per reports, after getting a tip-off the STF team secretly visited the place and conducted raids on the house of Saroj Chandra Yadav, where the illegal gun factory was operating. During the search the STF team found incriminating materials including gun making equipment and guns. More than 30 guns were seized during this raid.
It has been learnt that the guns were being illegally manufactured here for last many months. Along with this, the illegally guns were being supplied to different parts of the state.
