Odisha Weather: Deep Depression To Move Towards North Madhya Pradesh And Weaken

Districts of Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal,   Bhadrak and Jajpur shall witness heavy to very heavy rainfall till 8.30 tomorrow, informed MET Centre. It has issued Red Warning for the said districts.

During the said period, Ganjam, Balasore,  Nayagarh, Angul,  Boudh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Bolangir and Mayurbhanj district will also witness heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy at one or two places. MET centre issued Yellow Warning for the said districts.

During 8.30 Hrs of 13th to 8.30 Hrs of 14th, Angul,  Deogarh, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Bargarh,  Bolangir and Sonepur district shall witness heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy at one or two places. MET Centre issued Red Warning for the said District.

Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nuapada, Cuttack, Jajpur, Dhenkanal,  Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak,  Balasore and Kendrapara district shall witness heavy rainfall at one or two places. IMD issued Red Warning for the districts.

The Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northwest & adjoining West-central Bay of Bengal with associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height persists.

It is very likely to move west-north-westwards and concentrate into a Depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of north Odisha-West Bengal coasts during next 12 hours. It is very likely to move west-north-westwards across north Odisha and north Chhattisgarh during subsequent 2-3 days.
