IMI Hosts Its 9th Annual Convocation Ceremony

Bhubaneswar: June 08: The International Management Institute, Bhubaneswar proudly hosted its 9th Annual Convocation Ceremony to confer Post Graduate Diploma to the graduating students of PGDM 2019-21 and PGDM 2018-21 batches.

Shri Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director of Nestle India Limited graced the event as Chief Guest. Shri V.C. Agarwal, President- Of corporate HR and board member of RPSG Group conferred the diplomas to the graduating students.

At the outset, Prof Ramesh Behl, Director IMI, Bhubaneswar delivered the Welcome Address and presented the annual academic report. He extended a warm and hearty welcome to students of the passing out batch and their parents.

Prof. Behl highlighted the achievements of the institute in last one year in terms of NIRF rank 62; international accreditation by Association of MBAs (AMBA); and accreditation by NAAC. He appreciated the efforts of faculty towards research and publications. He congratulated the students on achieving 100% placements and expressed gratitude to the companies for having faith in the institute.

The Chief Guest Suresh Narayanan presented gold medal to Mr. Saurabh Nair and Silver medal to Mr. Pritam Ghosh, students of PGDM 2019-21 batch.

For PGDM 2018-21 batch, Mr. Piyush Ranjan Sahu and Mr. Trishanu Chakraborti received gold and silver medals, respectively. Shri Suresh Narayanan also awarded “Dr. Rama Prasad Goenka Best Student Medal” to Mr. Amal Jain and the “Director’s Medal for Overall Contribution” to Mr. Shubham Singhal.

ISuresh Narayanan delivered the Convocation Address and congratulated the passing out PGDM batch. He advised the students to be genuine, have an agile mindset, and adapt as they progress through life. He emphasized upon having a clear vision and a positive attitude. He encouraged the new era managers to be compassionate, creative, and courageous.

The event was attended by over 200 dignitaries from academia, senior government officials, business leaders, members of the Board of Governors of IMI, Bhubaneswar, and parents of graduating students.
