Bhubaneswar, Oct 6: Attending a special function at the State Secretariat on Thursday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, through video conference has inaugurated 100 urban piped drinking water supply projects and foundation stone for more drinking water project has also been laid by Patnaik. Along with this, online Smart Water Information Management and e- Building pass has also been launched by Chief Minister.
The initiative has been taken for improving urban governance as promised by the government. More efficiency and accountability in Urban Water Management will be possible through these two newly launched system, Patnaik said.
Information on quality of water, pipe water connection and collection of water tax can be obtained from the Smart Water Information Management System, said Pushpendra Singhdeo, Urban Development Minister. On the other hand, the people will be benefited through e-Building system as it will simplify the process of building approval through online, Singhdeo further added.
