Centre Clears Two More Vaccines And Anti-Viral Drug Molnupiravir For Emergency Use

Malkangiri, Nov 13: A decision to undertake a vaccination drive in Malkangiri district against Japanese Encephalitis (JE) was taken by the district administration today at a review meeting chaired by the Collector here.

The vaccination drive will be conducted after a three-day door-to-door survey from November 20 to 22 and children in between the age group of 1-15 will be immediately vaccinated after the end of the survey, the Collector informed.

For the immunization programme which will begin at 8 AM to end at 3 PM, teachers, Anganwadi workers and Accredited social health activists (ASHAs) will be engaged in it.

Notably, the death toll due to the vector borne disease in the district rose to 105 today with two children succumbing to the disease at the district headquarters hospital.
