India records 24,248 new COVID cases in a single day; Total count reaches 6,97,413

Bhubaneswar: July 6: India has recorded 24,248 new COVID-19 cases and 425 deaths in 24 hours time. India has surpassed Russia as the third worst-hit Country.

As per the Health Ministry’s data, India’s total number of cases jumped to 6,97,413.

4,24,433 patients have recovered from the disease and 2,53,287 patients are under active medical supervision.

As reported, so far 19693 persons have succumbed to the infection.

Maharashtra is the worst-hit State among India States with 2,06,619 cases and 8,822 deaths, followed by Tamilnadu with 1,11,151 cases and Delhi with 99,444 cases.
