Bhubaneswar: July 13: India has registered 28,701 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total tally to 8,78,254 cases. Out of that, 5,53,470 people have already recovered from the disease and 3,01,609 cases are active, the Health Ministry’s data stated on Monday.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 18,850 persons were cured of COVID-19. This has resulted in the cumulative total number of recovered cases among COVID-19 patients rising to 5,53,470 today. The recovery rate has presently improved to 63% around.
500 COVID patients have died in last 24 hours and total death toll of the Country rose to 23,174.
Among States Maharashtra, Tamilnadu and Delhi, have more than One lakh cases so far.
Maharashtra remained the worst-hit state, with 2,54,427 cases and 10,289 casualties followed by Tamil Nadu with total 1,38,470 cases, including 1,966 deaths. Delhi has registered 1,12,494 cases so far with 3,371 deaths.
