India Records Over 1.68 Lac Covid Cases In a Day
India recorded 1,68,063 new coronavirus infections taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 3,58,75,790.
69,959 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 3,45,70,131, informed Health Ministry.
Consequently, Country’s recovery rate stands at 96.36%.
India’s Active Caseload is presently at 8,21,446. Active cases constitute 2.29% of the country’s total Positive Cases.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 15,79,928 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 69.31 Cr (69,31,55,280) cumulative tests.
While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 8.85% and the Daily Positivity rate also reported to be 10.64%.
277 people succumbed to the disease in 24 hours. Total death toll rose to 4,84,213.
Country has reported 4,461 cases of Omicron variant so far.
Of the total 4,461 cases of the Omicron variant, 1,711 people have recovered or migrated so far.
Maharashtra registered highest cases of Omicron Variant i.e. 1,247, followed by Rajasthan at 645, Delhi 546, Karnataka 479 and Kerala 350.
