India witnesses biggest spike of 83,883 COVID-19 Cases in 24 hours

Bhubaneswar: September 3: India reported the biggest spike of 83,883 COVID-19 cases in a single day, pushing the total tally of the Country to 38,53,406.

Also, India recorded 1043 deaths in last 24 hours and the total death toll increased to 67,376. With this, India’s Case Fatality Rate stands at 1.75 per cent.

On the other side, India’s Recovery Rate has been improving constantly and it has reached 77.09 per cent. In last 24 hours, 68,584 patients recovered from the disease, pushing the recovered cases number to 29, 70,492.

At present, the number of active cases in the Country are 8,15,538, which is 21.16 per cent of the total cases.

Among States, Maharashtra registered 8,25,739 cases so far including 25,195 deaths, followed by Andhra Pradesh ( 4,55,531 cases & 4125 deaths), Tamilnadu (4, 39,959 cases & 7516 deaths), Karnataka (3,61,341 cases & 5950 deaths), Uttar Pradesh (2,41,439 cases & 3616 deaths), Delhi (1,79,569 cases & 4481 deaths), West Bengal ( 1,68,697 cases & 3339 deaths), Bihar (1,41,441 cases & 646 deaths) and Telengana ( 1,33,406 cases & 856 deaths).
