Bangkok, Dec 2: The Indian women’s team stormed into the finals after defeating Nepal in the Women’s Asia Cup T20 tournament played at the Asian Institute of technology ground at Bangkok on Friday.
Today the Indian Women team disastrously defeated Nepal in the qualifying match for the Finals, with 99 runs. Chasing to the Indian score of 120, the Nepal women’s team went all out just for 20 runs. Thanks to Poonam Yadav’s Yadav, whose 3 wickets, while Meghana and Patil’s 2 wicket each led India to victory.
Earlier yesterday the Indian women team captain Mithali Raj’s half century, along with Ekta Bisht and preeti Bose’s 3 wickets each led India to an astonishing 52-run win over Srilanka in the tournament.
With this the Indian Women’s team have won 5 out of 5 matches in the series and secured 10 points directly, that landed them directly at the Women’s Asia Cup T20 Finals.
