Interior and Southern Odisha Paralyzed as cold wave hit the regions, causing heavy fog around

Bhubaneswar / Phulbani, Dec 19: The weather department on Monday has projected the condition of weather in the Interior and southern parts of Odisha to continue affect for more 2-3 weeks due to heavy cold waves. After 23rd of the month the night temperature may rise to a bit for some days but will again come down with the mercury.

On the night of Sunday the mercury fell to 4.6 degree Celsius in the Kandhamal district affecting life, as the mercury touched the lowest in the season. While extreme conditions is dominating the mentioned parts since past 2-3 days.

While conditions in Phulnani, G Udaygiri, Balliguda, Kotagarh and Tuumdibandha blocks continue to affect badly due to heavy cold wave, Daringbadi also recorded a minimum of 4.8 degrees Celsius on Sunday night, causing a thick and heavy fog all around the district.

While fishes and bird continue to die in different parts of the regions, snowfall is expected in places like Belghar and Daringbadi
