Bhubaneswar, Aug 5: Based on the allegation of ‘Casting Couch’ put upon by actress Upasana Mohanty, the Laxmisagar Police yesterday interrogated film producer, Rajesh Pati. On July 27 Upasana had lodged a complaint at the same police station against Rajesh Pati, accusing him of attempting casting couch on her. The police had also recorded her statement under Section 161 of CrPc on July 28. On the same day the police had also registered a case against Pati under Section 506 of IPC and Section 509 of IPC as well.
On July 30 another complaint had come from the actress against Pati accusing him for making an intimate video of the two viral on social sites. She said that the accused had not taken her permission for circulating the video. According to the actress the video had been taken despite her being reluctant about it during their happy times.
Notably, whenever producer Pati had asked Upasana for his money, Upasana threatened him to sue him by false casting couch case. Later, Upasana actually filed a case against Pati on the basis of attempting casting couch on her.
