Bhubaneswar, July 23: By taking a big step towards increasing investment in IT and other sectors, the State Government has decided to organize an Invest Odisha (Investors’ meet) meet in Bengaluru on the 26th of August.
Sources said that, Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik is likely to attend the investors meeting and conduct one to one meetings with the investors. Under the chairmanship of Industries Minister Debi Prasad Mishra, a high level preparatory meeting was commenced on Friday in this regard. Chief Minister would interact with top level industries leaders while the Ministers and secretaries of concerned departments would also interact with the industry players, Mishra informed.
Along with the invited companies’ leaders, companies’ leader with whom interaction section would be held are Tata group chairman Cyrus Mistry, Wipro chairman Azim Premji, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw of Biocon on investment opportunity in Odisha, sources said. Around 50 interested large and medium industries from sectors like engineering, IT, hardware, aviation, textile, medical devices, lubricants, aerospace, beverages, telecom, defense, transport and consumable durable has been enlisted for this event.
The commemoration of late Chief Minister Biju Patnaik’s birthday would also be held in Bengaluru at another event on the same day.
Number of attractive cultural programme would be performed in the event by involving Odia Associations, local culture association.
