Bhubaneswar: In want for more information, the arrested consultant, Manas, involved in the fake job scam of SOA university has been taken on a three day remand by the commissionerate police since yesterday. Though the police had requested for a five-day remand, the court had refused, but however has allowed for a three day period.
Manas, the arrested so called consultant while talking to the media last week had said that he had offered complementary help to the college authorities in getting campus selection in return for a job offer at the SOA University. He had also said that he had not taken a single penny from the college for referring the college to various companies, neither had worked as a middle man.
Notably, a special team of commissionerate police, acting on the interrogation results of SOA placement Dean Raj Kishore Hota, had arrested Manas from Puri on June 2.
After the allegations of fake job offer letter to various students came forward, Hota had resigned from the post of Dean. Soon later was arrested from by the commissionerate police on May 26.
