Bhubaneswar: July 10: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday spoke with Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami through video conferencing regarding the maintenance and improvement of the Shree Jagannath Temple located on the hill in Salad village of Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand in neglected condition.

‘Uttarakhand Chief Minister has assured to include the temple in the temple beautification plan of the Uttarakhand government besides reviving it as a religious tourist spot.

Union Minister Shri Pradhan thanked the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand for urgently keeping the request for the development of Lord Jagannath’s temple at Uttarakhand and invited him to Puri for the darshan of Lord Jagannath.

The Union Minister said, “This has become possible due to the interest of the people and the Will of the Lord.”

This Jagannath Dham at Uttarkashi will strengthen the cultural and spiritual ties between Uttarakhand and Odisha and will symbolize one India, the best India. There will be growth in the tourism sector as well.  Kudos to temple attendant Janardan Pattajoshi Mohapatra, actor Sabyasachi Mishra, and actress Archita for bringing this temple to public attention, said Union Minister.
