Bhubaneswar, Apr 2: For admissions into engineering at all national level, state level and private institutions, the all India Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains-2017 was held today across the country. As of sources, nearly 44000 students appeared for the examination at 82 centres across Odisha, While about 12 lakh candidates have appeared for it in the whole country. The test which was held in two sitting being the first sitting of the test starting from 9 am & ended at 12 pm, the second sitting was conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm.
As an earlier notification from the OJEE authorities, the candidate were denied of bringing any valuables or even pen, pencil or even watch to the exam centres.
From this year onwards, 12th class board exam results won’t have any value in OJEE ranking. The candidate will get the seats as per their results in the JEE tests. The top 2 to 2.5 lakhs rank holders in the JEE mains will qualify for the JEE advanced, from which the top candidate will be selected for the admissions.
