Jharsuguda, Nov 21: After Punjab, Karnataka & Telangana its Odisha. A youth was detained at the Jharsuguda  ​PS on the Sunday evening for ​purportedly circulating fake currency notes of Rs 2000 denomination.

Two persons on the early evening of Sunday came to a petrol pump at Sunarimunda and filled petrol in the bike. Later one of them gave a Rs 2000 currency note to the service boy, doubting it to be a fake note, he informed it to the manager and later informed the police. After verifying the note thoroughly​, ​the police broke the youth for interrogation.
​Sources said the note is a colour xerox of an original and a case has been registered at the Jharsuguda PS.​
