Jharsuguda, Nov 21: After Punjab, Karnataka & Telangana its Odisha. A youth was detained at the Jharsuguda PS on the Sunday evening for purportedly circulating fake currency notes of Rs 2000 denomination.
Two persons on the early evening of Sunday came to a petrol pump at Sunarimunda and filled petrol in the bike. Later one of them gave a Rs 2000 currency note to the service boy, doubting it to be a fake note, he informed it to the manager and later informed the police. After verifying the note thoroughly, the police broke the youth for interrogation.
Sources said the note is a colour xerox of an original and a case has been registered at the Jharsuguda PS.
