Burla: May 02: Junior Doctors’ of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in the western Odisha town of Burla are continuing their strike to press for their nine-point charter of demands.
Today is the second day of their cease work. House Surgeons and PG Students are also supporting the Junior Doctors Association’ cease work to get the demands fulfilled.
Health services and treatment have been affected due to this strike and patients are seen shifting to private hospitals and nursing homes.
President of JDA said, ‘Neither RDC nor Secretary have reached here yet to have discussion with us as said by hospital administration. But, we are hopeful’. On the other hand, VIMSAR authorities told reporters that they are taking all steps so that patient care is not affected.
