Bhubaneswar: March 23: The sitting MP of Kandhamal and former BJD leader Pratyusha Rajeshwari Singh today joined BJP. Earlier, it was discussed that, she may join Congress.
It is to be noted, Pratyusha Rajeshwari Singh had resigned from the primary membership of BJD on March 20 after being denied a party ticket.
After resigning from BJD, Pratyusha had cleared the air saying that she would join any other party or contest the polls as an independent candidate.
It is discussed that, BJP may field her from Kandhamal or Nayagarh constituency.
She joined the saffron party in presence of Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP’s national vice-president Baijayant Panda and State BJP president Basant Panda at senior BJP leader KV Singhdeo’s residence in Bhubaneswar.
