Dhenkanal, Apr 11: Today the Khamakhyanagar Notified Area Council (NAC) are observing a dawn to dusk bandh thus demanding repair of NH 53 and construction of drainage system from Alatoma to Jiridamali in the town here. Transportation has come to a grinding halt and all shops and business establishments have been shut down. Kamakhyanagar NAC chairman Dharmanand Parida stated to media that their demands were assured to be fulfilled by the sub-collector and officials of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) a week ago but the administration is yet to act on it and hence the bandh has been called on once again. On Mar 25 the NAC observed a bandh demanding the same.
