Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: The historical Khandagiri fair will commence from February 14.
Commissionerate Police has put in place a fool proof mechanism for ensuring security for the visitors during the 14 day- long fair which will continue till February 28. The police have decided to enhance the traffic policing for controlling the rush.
Keeping in view of the lakhs of incoming visitors four platoons of police force are being planned to be deployed which will be supervised by 10 Sub -Inspector level officers, also two section woman police force will be deployed so that security for women folk can be enhanced.
Meanwhile, operas will be conducted from February 17 to 27 on every evening so the police has planned to install CCTV Cameras on every dais for avoiding any mishap.
As many as 50 volunteers will be provided from each opera party, while the parking facilities are also being looked at, sources informed.
