Koraput Landmine Blast: 5-member team of Odisha CB visits Koraput affected area today Inbox x

Bhubaneswar, Feb 3: Today a five-member team of the Odisha Crime Branch (CB) visited Koraput to investigate into the landmine blast that happened on Wednesday in the Sunki Ghat area in Koraput that has claimed lives of 8 Odisha State Armed Police (OSAP) personnel. The team was led by DSP, PK Mishra. A 3-members forensic team would also be assisting the CB team during investigation. It’s stated that the team would probe that under what circumstances and how did the mishap happen and what kind of explosives have been utilized for the blast.

Along with, the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) has asked for a report on the incident from the Home Department Principal Secretary and the DGP, on the fact that whether the standard operation procedure was followed that day, within two weeks.
