Liquor racket busted in capital city

Bhubaneswar, Sept 13: Today, police recovered around 70 litres of country made liquor along with seven bagful of mahula and two bags of sleeping tablets from a slum area of the capital city.

As per the information, a man named Pitambar Kisku was arrested by the Chandrasekharpur police on charges of possessing these items. The accused was arrested from Santala slum located at Maitri Bihar in Bhubaneswar.

As per sources, whenever the slum area which is famous for illegal country made liquor trade is raided by the police, the families living in the slum retaliate and even challenge the police.
