Cuttack, July 19: On Monday Supreme Court of India accepted important recommendations forwarded by the Lodha Committee. In their recommendations, Committee laid down that BCCI’s Administrators should retire at 70 years of age.
Meanwhile, after the acceptance of the Lodha Committee recommendation by the Apex Court, Ashirbad Behera, Secretary of Odisha Cricket Association on Tuesday announced that he would not contest the OCA elections as he has reached the age of 70. Behera informed this to Media persons on Monday and also said that the decision taken by the Lodha Committee shall be for the betterment of Cricket.
OCA would conduct its council meeting soon after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) conducts its Special General Meeting. BCCI guidelines show that, 170 member of OCA would select their representative and he would provide his support to cricket, he informed.
